Chamberlain achieves gold standard for health and safety Wednesday 18th December 2013
Chamberlain Transport has successfully gone for gold to retain a top industry standard for health and safety for the eighth year running.
Independent logistics management consultancy OPCOM has awarded Chamberlain with the gold standard after an audit of its operations:
"A firm commitment to maintaining the highest possible standards of health and wellbeing of our staff at work has always been one of the main focuses of the business," said Simon Chamberlain, director of Chamberlain Transport.
"We are keen not to rest on our laurels and the OPCOM audit also enables us to continue working closely with our staff to improve our practices further."
Chamberlain also uses OPCOM’s service to plan its risk management and driver training.
"Chamberlain's have shown a sustained commitment to Safety, Compliance and Cost Control over many years. They have become a leader in the transport industry in this respect setting standards of implementation and achievement that few can equal. Chamberlains are a model operator," said David Somers, Managing Director of Road Skills, which provides the audit for Chamberlain.
