Chamberlain invests in its' Palletforce service Monday 5th August 2013
CHAMBERLAIN Transport has invested in its’ second Palletforce branded double deck trailer to meet an increase in volumes through the leading palletised distribution network.
The new trailer enables Chamberlain to reduce the number of vehicles making deliveries, whilst increasing the amount of goods it can transport to and from the Palletforce hub in
“Making sure we can get our customers goods from A to B in the most efficient way possible is essential and we felt the time was right to make this investment, as we had seen a consistent increase in demand for our Palletforce service,” said
“The move is good, not only for our business but also for the environment, as it means fewer vehicles on the road.”
Chamberlain has also implemented the new ePOD (Electronic Proof of Delivery) technology in a joint venture with Palletforce.
The system offers an innovative ‘proof of location’ service which pinpoints exactly where customers’ goods have been delivered, as well as recording the time and signature of the recipient.
“Technology is changing the way the transport industry operates and it is important that we invest in the latest equipment to ensure we remain competitive in a challenging market,” said Simon.
