Chamberlain ploughs on through cold snap Monday 29th April 2013
DESPITE the disruption caused to Britain's roads by the recent cold snap Chamberlain Transportís fleet has successfully delivered goods across the country.
Deliveries made by Chamberlain included journeys to some of the hardest hit areas if the UK such as South Wales and the Scotland.
Chamberlain's extensive planning enabled them to make all their deliveries on time despite heavy snow and ice throughout February and March.
"We had to plan our routes carefully to minimise the impact of the weather.† We also changed the timings of some deliveries, sending some early or through the night rather than the day to give ourselves more time to get there," said Simon Chamberlain, director Chamberlain Transport.
"Some of our fleet were doing journeys of over 200 miles in the snow but despite this challenge it is a testament to our drivers and office staff that we were able to keep disruption to an absolute minimum."
"There were even a few circumstances where our drivers had managed to travel long distances and customers werenít even open because of the snow."
