Chamberlain uses a specially designed crane vehicle for delivery which had to undergo numerous stringent inspections to ensure it met necessary site access requirements for VTG's customers, including oil refineries, quarries and steel works.
The company also has plans to invest in a second of these specialist vehicles in early 2012 to ensure that, as the volume of work increases, deliveries are met.
'VTG requires a quick and efficient approach to its repairs which Railcare, working alongside Chamberlain Transport, is able to provide,' said Bob Knowlson, head of service for Railcare.
'Chamberlain's knowledge of our operations, and the rail industry as a whole, is essential to helping us provide VTG and all our customers with the highest levels of service and delivery.'
